Eight years ago, I was attempting to put my life back together (for the first time) with two biological children who had endured my most disgraceful behavior as a direct result of my alcoholism. Prior to meeting me, Glen consummated an affair that resulted in Thomas' birth. When the affair ended, Glen's name was maliciously removed from Thomas' birth certificate and replaced with another man's. For the next two years, Glen fought for paternity while Thomas was shuffled between foster homes.

Ultimately, we won. All of us! Glen attained paternity and established biological entitlement whilst I redeemed the precious relationships with my children and embraced a life of sobriety. However, as we commenced visitation negotiations with the court, they were overturned when we learned a New York bus driver rescued Thomas from the streets at three in the morning. We immediately received full custody! As Thomas merged into our unconventional family, I realized I had a second opportunity to love a child with a clear heart and mind. Miracle Baby is about the unbreakable bond between three fighters who believe in family, love, and second chances.
