Pinetta by Rob Walters

Issue 76

Pinetta is the name of the small Northern Florida town where my father was born and raised. While serving in the United States Air Force, my father died in a plane crash. I was not yet two years old. Very soon after my mom, brother and I moved away from the area. Imagining an alternative reality, this project is a way for me to build a narrative of my father's history for myself and to explore a part of the country that easily could have been where I "grew up."
