Boundaries by David Eisenlord

Issue 4

Growing up taking family camping vacations to the shores of Lake Michigan and Huron, and later as an engineering student surrounded by Lake Superior in the Keweenaw Peninsula, the power and beauty of the Great Lakes made a profound impression on me. As a Midwesterner, the Great Lakes have been my Big Sky country, a place for solitude and escape from the chaos of daily life. I have since discovered I feel at peace around the world as long as a coast is within sight.

This body of work explores my love of the boundaries between water and land, water and sky, and day and night. Seascapes of the northern shore of Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Iceland, and the Atlantic and Pacific coast are represented.
