Issue 138 – September 2020
Guest Curator: Rapheal Begay (Diné)
It is in this moment that beauty and balance are found.
And so, may this publication serve as a moment of recognition, celebration, and empowerment of Indigenous 2SLGBTQ+ storytelling. Let us remain inspired and informed by language, land, and understanding. For it is a moment that is a photograph as we are the projection, belief, and being found within the image.
As the Guest Curator for Fraction 138, it is my hope that this issue speaks to the inherent beauty and balance found within us all. Let us embrace and expand the masculine, the feminine, and the unknown as we continue to redefine aesthetic, politic, and value. With love and art in mind, it is my pleasure to introduce and share space with the immense talent that is Ryan Dennison, Nate Lemuel, Nelson Morales, and Ryan Young. All of whom continue to create with intent, imagination, and respect to their surroundings and sense of self.
In closing, my sincerest gratitude to these moments that continue to inspire and inform our perspective, memory, and identity. Moreover, thank you to Fraction Magazine for this opportunity to share stories and exchange knowledge with one another. Ahéhee’ (Thank You)
