Tatiana Wills

My portraits celebrate a personal connection with the independent spirit of artists who strive to transform and affect movements in our culture. This ongoing series features contemporary dancers and choreographers. The discipline, artistry and commitment of dancers are compelling, and their vitality and passion resonate even through a still image. This project is inspired in part by my daughter’s decision to pursue dance as a career. Combining my artistic passion with hers has given us a deeper understanding of each other's own creative arc and vision. Creating these photographic portraits has brought me closer not only to her, but also to the universality of the power of artistic expression.
