Taelor O. Scott

Issue 158

I first started taking photographs of people who let me and from this practice I ended up cultivating a lot of gratitude for the opportunity to document the features and movements of the faces I knew and loved most. It’s incredibly rewarding to capture emotions and perspectives I’m familiar with in the expressions of others and thus I’m very motivated by the goal of expanding my vocabulary and syntax for communicating these themes to illuminate experiences of worry, desire, and peace, especially through the lens of black girl/womanhood.
