This series of portraits is about appetites and forbidden fruit.

The models hold / wear fruit, vegetables, meat, fur and skin. They sit resolutely, securely, before my lens, unquestionably not about to disappear.

Although the images are photographic in nature, their concerns go beyond what is pictured. I am interested in what lies beneath the surface.

The photographs allude to intimacy; they connect and contradict. They suggest a precarious balance between strength and vulnerability, and speak to issues of temptation and trust.
