For five years I taught photography in Boston at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (Mass Art). While the building itself was a motley grouping of institutional concrete and glass, I was spoiled by the opportunity to work with some of the most creative and interesting artists an instructor could ask for. So, before packing up the truck for the long drive West to my current home in Seattle, I set up an informal studio in a non-descript bathroom on the 6th floor and went about making portraits of some of the many students with whom I had the great pleasure to work. Year Book is a tribute to them.
