Guest Curator Information

Thank you very much for being our guest curator! We are very excited to share your vision with our audience. We want this to be a great collaboration, so please don’t hesitate to contact Bree or Leo if you have any questions or concerns (bree@fractionmagazine.com, leo@fractionmagazine.com).

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

– Select four artists to feature individual portfolios. You are welcome to choose a theme, or a specific type of work or a group of artists if you’d like the issue to be cohesive in a particular way, however this is not required - you can put the issue together in any way that you see fit!

– Email the artists directly to invite them to be a part of the issue and CC Bree or Leo (bree@fractionmagazine.com, leo@fractionmagazine.com) on the email. Please include the title of the portfolio in the email and the link below in the body of the email as it contains specific information for formatting and sharing work: http://www.fractionmagazine.com/sgl

– Write a brief statement about the issue, this can be as long or as short as you would like, but please be sure to mention the names of the artists in the statement. You can look at past issues for sample statements.

– Review the final issue before publication and approve portfolio and issue pages

WHAT WE WILL DO:

– Artists will send their images and statements to us and we will create each individual page. We will share each page with you and the specific artist for review prior to publication.

– Create the Issue page and link all portfolios and additional information (book reviews, calls for entry etc) that goes with the issue

– Confirm artist’s review and curator review of pages prior to publication

– Publish issue and promote on social media accounts
